Moonis Elahi says PMLN Must Let Go of its EGO and Build Kalabagh Dam

Moonis Elahi-PMLN-Kalabagh Dam

The BBC reported on Thursday India is speeding up its efforts to maximize its use of the western rivers of the Indus basin. It would involve building huge storage facilities and canals over the rivers as Modi plans to dry out Pakistan. However the channel reported the move would not violate the Indus Water Treaty through which the water of the rivers must enter Pakistan. Moonis Elahi has insisted time and again to build the Kalabagh Dam. As most of the paper work is already complete and even the land had been purchased by the PMLQ government, it can be completed within 3 years.
PMLN's vindictive policy is harming Pakistan more than ever. Every government strives to strengthen its country but unfortunately the ruling party is set to destroy the country through their egoistic nature said Moonis Elahi. It is time to be united against the problems faced by the country and decline in water is a serious threat to our survival. We need water to run cities and to irrigate our agricultural lands, without enough water Pakistan would run dry. The drought in Tharparkar has already consumed hundreds of innocent lives of not only humans but the animals as well. if war footing steps aren't taken now, the situation will only worsen and the entire country will be Tharparkar.
India will use the water flowing into Pakistan through Indus, Chenab and Jehlum rivers to pressurize over the Kashmir issue. If we already have built an alternative, the neighbor will fail badly in its scheme. Moonis Elahi has been raising his voice over the water issue on his social media accounts. The response to his tweets and posts indicate that Pakistanis are also in the favor of this dam but many controversies have created hurdles in its completion. PMLN must house a meeting and seriously address the issue with all stakeholders. There should be no grudges and all political parties must participate in it.
We must be united for the cause of Pakistan's survival and sustainability. It is a must to think of "Sab se Pehlay Pakistan" seriously rather than just make it a political slogan said Moonis Elahi. If there is no Pakistan, there would be no Pakistani politics and there would be no future for any one of us. It is an undeniable fact that water is the source of life and without it we would all be in deep trouble. The shortfall of rains and drying up of our canals has created many ecological problems. We must create dams to store water and use it wisely.
